Context
MSF is currently recruiting a Pharmacist to be based in Nairobi. The role involves ensuring the proper management and supply of medicines and medical supplies within MSF projects in Kenya.
Responsibilities
- Manage the pharmacy stock, including ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines and medical supplies.
- Ensure compliance with MSF protocols and national regulations for pharmaceutical management.
- Provide technical support and training to medical staff on rational drug use and pharmaceutical management.
- Maintain accurate records of all pharmaceutical transactions.
- Participate in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
- Registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluency in English and Swahili.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical management, preferably in a humanitarian or NGO setting.
