Responsibilities
As a Pharmacy Technologist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications and providing support to pharmacists and patients. Your duties will include:
- Assisting pharmacists in dispensing prescription medications.
- Managing pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Operating pharmacy management systems for dispensing and inventory control.
- Providing excellent customer service to patients, answering inquiries, and directing them to pharmacists when necessary.
- Ensuring a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
- A Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Must be registered and licensed by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB).
- A valid practicing license.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy pharmacy, hospital, or medical facility.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management systems.
- Strong communication, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
