Position Summary: The Plating / Laboratory Chemist responsibilities include planning, implementing, maintaining, and managing procedures to optimize the Electroplating process.

He / She will also be responsible for Lab management, bath maintenance, offering technical advice on chemical and Lab / EP equipment, and chemical sourcing.

He/She will be reporting to the Head Supply Chain Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities, but not limited to;

Plating materials Forecast, plan, implement, and control the plating schedule for the job, and review and adjust where necessary.

Carry out plating processes

Ensure the availability of process water through the timely operation of reverse osmosis water treatment.

Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.

Make decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and organizing the repair and routine maintenance of plating equipment.

Work with other departmental heads to implement the company's policies and goals.

Monitor the quality standards of the products

Implement standard operating procedures for plating operations and chemical analysis of plating solutions, and ensure they are adhered to.

Chemical analysis through volumetric analysis

Density, PH and conductivity tests

Hull cell test

Calibration of laboratory equipment

Timely preparation and maintenance of plating reports

Preparation and maintenance of laboratory documentation.

Day-to-day plating cost tracking

BSc degree in Chemistry/Science/Engineering

Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electrolysis process
