Responsibilities
The Plumber will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining water systems, including pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing equipment. This includes:
- Diagnosing and resolving issues with water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
- Performing routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems.
- Reading blueprints and specifications to understand the layout of plumbing systems.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant building codes and safety regulations.
- Responding to emergency plumbing calls.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience as a plumber.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and manual dexterity.
- Relevant vocational training or certification is a plus.
Experience
A minimum of 3 years of experience in plumbing is required.
Work Environment
This position is based at the International School of Kenya campus in Nairobi. The role involves working in various campus locations, both indoors and outdoors.
