Procurement Officer
Our client, a fast-growing retail business operating liquor stores, is seeking a proactive Procurement Officer to support the daily purchasing operations. The role involves sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, managing stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery to various branches.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Source and purchase liquor, beverages, and retail products in line with company requirements.
- Identify and evaluate new suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products.
- Request and review quotations, negotiate pricing, and prepare purchase orders.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels at all branches and inform management of replenishment needs.
- Track delivery timelines and follow up on delayed or incomplete orders.
Supplier Management
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and distributors.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, shortages, or pricing discrepancies.
- Maintain an updated supplier database and ensure compliance with company policies.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, payment schedules, and delivery notes.
- Ensure proper documentation of purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
Compliance
- Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and legal regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in retail, FMCG, or liquor/beverage sector.
- Strong knowledge of sourcing, vendor management, and inventory processes.
- Good negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems is an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate with multiple branches.
