General Purpose

Our client, a leading manufacturer of popular household food brands including sauces, drinking chocolates, and other fast-moving consumer products, is seeking to hire a dedicated and results-driven Production Team Leader to support and oversee daily production operations.

• Ensure full execution of the daily production plan by coordinating line preparation and minimizing start-up delays to meet shift targets.
• Monitor production performance to reduce variances and ensure targets are achieved consistently.
• Control production costs by managing usage of PVC, water, electricity, and labour while maintaining an Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of at least 75%.
• Minimize machine downtime by promptly reporting breakdowns and raising maintenance job cards in a timely manner.
• Ensure all required raw and packaging materials are available as per the production job card and carry out accurate stock reconciliation.
• Reduce material wastage to the lowest possible levels and ensure yield targets are consistently met.
• Oversee proper work order management by ensuring jobs are opened and closed in line with production output.
• Train new team members on production processes and food handling procedures while supervising staff to ensure full engagement throughout the shift.
• Enforce workplace safety standards, ensure compliance with food safety regulations, and confirm that only trained personnel operate machinery.
• Work closely with IPQC to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on internal process failures and customer complaints, and participate in preparing RCA and CAPA reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain required quality standards at all times.

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or a related field.
• At least 3 years' experience in a supervisory role within a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Practical knowledge and experience in implementing ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems.
• Strong understanding of production processes and quality control standards.
