Background
Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a State Corporation established through the Science and Technology (Amendment) Act of 1979, which has since been amended to Science, Technology and Innovation Act 2013. The 1979 Act established KEMRI as a National body responsible for carrying out health research in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities:
- Upload, categorize, and update digital learning content as directed by Faculty members.
- Create content that promotes health literacy and engages users in understanding public health issues.
- Provide support for relevant databases.
- Monitor LMS performance, uptime, and reliability, including backups and optimization checks.
- Assist users, including Fellows, mentors, and administrators, with troubleshooting support.
- Generate basic analytics reports such as enrollment, completion rates, and attendance.
- Document information requests from users.
- Create knowledge base articles and FAQs addressing common issues.
- Conduct user training sessions and orientations.
- Schedule and coordinate system maintenance windows.
- Regularly back up content and configurations.
- Develop and disseminate communications related to women's health topics, ensuring clarity and accessibility for diverse audiences.

- Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, Knowledge Management, or a related field. Mandatory
- Knowledge in Learning Management System will be an added advantage Added Advantage
- Problem-solving and Good organizational skills. Mandatory
