JOB PURPOSE:
The Sudan Country Office seeks a Partnership and Reporting Assistant to support comprehensive reporting functions, including data collection, research, analysis, and the preparation of high-quality reports and briefings for internal and external audiences.
The role will contribute to a wide range of outputs, including general donor reporting, operational updates, analytical products, and incident-related communications, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of information.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all inclusive):
- Compile, consolidate, and manage data from multiple sources to support reporting, research, and analysis across Country Office activities.
- Support analysis and preparation of reports and information products, including donor reports, operational updates, briefs, and situation analyses.
- Contribute to research and data gathering efforts to inform strategic decision-making, donor engagement, and reporting requirements.
- Draft and review written outputs, including donor reports, briefings, presentations, and internal documents, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Support reporting on incidents impacting donor funds, including data collection, tracking, and preparation of related communication materials.
- Maintain and update systems, databases, and tracking tools, ensuring data integrity and accessibility of key information.
- Collaborate with internal counterparts across units (e.g., Programme, Risk, Supply Chain) to gather inputs, verify information, and strengthen reporting processes.
- Support the production and analysis of donor data and statistics, contributing to insights on funding trends and reporting needs.
- Act as a focal point for information requests and general operational queries, facilitating timely and accurate responses.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Perform any other related duties as required by the Country Office and the Partnerships and Reporting Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree in Business Administration, Development, Financial Management or other field relevant to international development assistance. A diploma in the same fields with additional years experience in the related functional area is acceptable.
Experience:
Five years relevant experience from partnership and donor work, including the preparation of draft donor reports, presentations, data and basic analysis. Experience from the UN/INGO sector is desired.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a range of individuals to provide a high-quality support service.
- Ability to carry out basic data analysis and independently rectify problems requiring attention.
- Ability to monitor and record data
- Good communication skills required to give and receive information and work with a variety of individuals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Languages:
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
