Role Context
TISA is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Programs Officer to join our team. The Programs Officer will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of various programs aimed at achieving TISA's objectives. This role requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills and a passion for social justice and good governance.
Responsibilities
The Programs Officer will be expected to:
- Develop and manage program work plans, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of program activities.
- Monitor program progress and evaluate outcomes against set objectives.
- Prepare regular program reports for management and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with partners, stakeholders, and beneficiaries.
- Contribute to program design, proposal development, and fundraising efforts.
- Ensure compliance with TISA's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in program management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
- Proven experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Strong understanding of governance, accountability, and citizen participation issues in Kenya.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
