Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:

  • Backend development of AIMS modules including server-side logic, databases, and APIs.
  • Participate in requirements gathering and translation into technical backend specifications.
  • Design and implementation of database structures and data models.
  • Integrate AIMS with internal and external systems and services.
  • Implement approved coding standards and version control practices.
  • Participate in system testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and address issues arising from QA processes.
  • Provide technical documentation, deployment guides, and system manuals.
  • Resolve backend-related incidents and service requests.
  • Monitor backend system performance and support enhancement activities.
  • Participate in change management and rollout of system updates and releases.
  • Prepare routine progress and technical status reports.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Component III Coordinator or Project Management

Academic and Professional Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in backend software development or related ICT field.
  • Additional training or certification in databases, programming, or application development will be an added advantage
  • Demonstrated results in work performance
  • Proficiency in Computer applications
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
