Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the commercial and operational delivery of office fit-out projects. The primary focus of this role is generating quotations, cost management, and account reconciliation, with additional responsibilities supporting site management and project delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, cost control, and smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quoting & Cost Management (Primary Focus)

  • Prepare accurate project quotations, estimates, and pricing for office fit-out works
  • Track project costs, budgets, and expenditure against approved forecasts
  • Manage cost variations and support margin control
  • Maintain accurate cost reports for management review

Accounts & Reconciliation

  • Reconcile project costs, supplier invoices, and subcontractor claims
  • Assist with progress claims, invoicing, and financial reporting
  • Ensure all project financial records are accurate and up to date

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors regarding pricing, scopes, and deliveries
  • Ensure materials and services are aligned with approved budgets and timelines

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelors in Construction Management, Project Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field (required)
  • 1–2 years’ experience in construction, office fit-outs, or a similar commercial/project support role
  • Strong understanding of construction costing and estimating

Key Competencies

  • Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong Excel, spreadsheet, and data management skills
  • Commercially focused with strong cost-control mindset
  • Organised, analytical, and process-driven
  • Clear communication and ability to work closely with senior management
  • Interpret architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations)
  • Basic understanding of construction elements and terminology
