Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Control Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the Quality Control Manager in ensuring that all products meet our stringent quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting regular quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
- Perform laboratory tests and analyses as per established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all quality control activities, including test results and observations.
- Identify and report any quality deviations or non-conformities to the Quality Control Manager.
- Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Support in the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
- Assist in conducting internal audits and inspections.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality control department.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a quality control role, preferably in the food processing industry.
- Knowledge of quality control principles, testing methods, and laboratory procedures.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a quality control role.
Work Environment
This role operates in a manufacturing environment and requires the ability to work in various conditions, including cold storage areas.
