Receiving & Waste Management Officer-Stationery Division
Location: Nairobi
Receiving & waste Management Officer will receive, verify, record, and manage all incoming raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and supplies for the stationery manufacturing plant, while also coordinating waste management processes to support operational efficiency, inventory control, and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities
- Receive all incoming raw materials such as paper, inks, boards, glue, laminates, cartons, and other production materials.
- Verify deliveries against Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes, Invoices, and approved specifications.
- Inspect materials for quantity accuracy, damages, quality issues, and packaging conditions.
- Follow up Goods Received Notes (GRNs) for non-conforming items.
- Update manual stock records accurately and on time.
- Coordinate offloading, storage, and material arrangement in the store.
- Support stock counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations.
- Proactively manage risks, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and promoting a safe working environment.
- Ensure proper segregation of recyclable and non-recyclable waste.
- Coordinate disposal or sale of waste materials as per company procedures.
- Ensure waste area cleanliness, orderliness, and compliance with safety/environmental standards.
- Record, and monitor production waste such as paper offcuts, damaged cartons, rejected products, plastic waste, and scrap materials.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-7 years' experience in warehouse, dispatch, or inventory management roles.
Key Skills
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Google workspace (Sheet, Doc etc.) and hands-on experience with SAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
