Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) for Coastal region will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening the company's presence across the coastal counties. The role involves leading a sales team, managing key distributors and retail accounts, executing effective market strategies, and ensuring consistent product availability and visibility in line with company objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Commerce, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
A diploma in a technical field combined with strong sales experience may also be considered.
Professional training in sales, marketing, or "technical product" sales is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of construction industry dynamics in Kenya.
Experience
Minimum 5+ years experience as a Regional Area, or Territory Sales Manager within the construction materials sector.
Experience in selling paints, cement, adhesives, roofing materials, steel, gypsum, tiles or related products is a strong advantage.
Managing a sales team and working in a fast-paced, competitive market is needed.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with national business objectives to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets for the Coastal region.
Plan and execute route to market (RTM) activities to grow distribution, retail penetration and direct sales.
Conduct competitor analysis to identify market gaps, pricing trends, and emerging opportunities.
Manage product launches and promotional activities vogue in the region.
Maintain and grow relationships with distributors, hardware dealers, wholesalers, contractors, architects, project managers and construction companies.
Retail, distribution, institutional buyers, and construction projects.
Regularly review stock levels and sales performance at distributor and retail outlets.
Salary
Kshs. 130,000 - 170,000 plus company benefits
