JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities or duties
- Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient’s outcomes
- Providing appropriate healthcare services, including Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI)
- Immunization
- Prevention of Mother-To-Child transmission (PMCT)
- Antenatal care and delivery
- Providing health education and counseling to patients/clients and the community on identified health needs
- Referring patients and clients appropriately
- Facilitating patients’ admission and initiating discharge plans
- Maintaining records on patients’/clients’ health conditions and care
- Ensuring a tidy and safe clinical environment
- Collecting and compiling data
Qualifications or requirements
- Be a Citizen of Kenya
- Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery, or Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
- Registration Certificate issued by the relevant professional body
- Valid Practicing License from the relevant professional body
- Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 36
Level of Education: associate degree
