REGISTERED NURSE

Duty Station: St Raphael Archangel Health Center Emmaus

Job Purpose

The Registered Nurse will provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centred nursing care to patients at the Health Center. The successful candidate will work closely with doctors, laboratory personnel, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health conditions and identify their nursing care needs.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with professional standards and established procedures.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, progress, and response to treatment.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and appropriately.
  • Assist medical officers and other healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing and patient records.
  • Provide health education and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Participate in admission, discharge, referral, and follow-up of patients.
  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and promptly seek appropriate assistance.
  • Maintain infection prevention and control standards.
  • Ensure proper handling, use, and storage of nursing equipment and supplies.
  • Promote patient dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and safety.
  • Participate in health promotion and disease prevention activities.
  • Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or Health Center management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Relevant academic and professional qualification in Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered with the relevant professional regulatory authority.
  • Must possess a valid practicing licence.
  • Relevant working experience will be an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of nursing procedures, patient care, infection prevention, and professional ethics.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
