The Registered Nurse is a member of the nursing team and provides total individualized and comprehensive nursing care to patients according to nursing and doctor’s plans.

  • Performs nursing procedures and treatment of patients in a competent and professional manner.
  • Provides pre-op and post op nursing care.
  • Provide proper drug administration by administering drugs safely, aseptically and correctly.
  • Advocates for patient and family needs, or provide emotional support for patients and their families.
  • Performs approved therapeutic or diagnostic procedures based upon the patient's clinical status.
  • Monitor patients vital signs, fluid intake and output, and changes in status and institute appropriate interventions.
  • Assess the patient's psychological status and needs.
  • Collaborate with other health care professionals to develop and revise treatment plans based on identified needs and assessment data.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and secure environment for patients and visitors utilizing quality and risk management framework and ensuring that infection control procedures are followed.
  • Monitors nutritional status of patients and manages accordingly.
  • Pray with patients at different points of care and provide other spiritual support as needed.
  • Maintains accurate, legible, clear and complete clinical documentation and patient information
  • Provides health education to patients and caretakers upon discharge.
  • Adheres to infection control policies and protocols.
  • Sets up and monitors medical equipment. Ensures that equipment is operational, calling for repairs and/or preventative maintenance.
  • Maintains nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Improves skills by attending required continuing education opportunities.
  • Willingness to travel to remote clinics associated with CURE.
