Background
HFC Limited, the banking and property finance subsidiary of HF Group, has an exciting opportunity in our Retail Banking Division. We are seeking a talented, dynamic, self-driven, and results-oriented individual who is committed to performance, excellence, and participating in our growth strategy.
To enable the Branch Business team to develop, implement, monitor and update branch business performance management tools in order to track progress of business strategies and initiatives. The role therefore is critical in ensuring that the business makes data-driven decisions, has better internal collaboration, is prudent in its cost undertakings and becomes agile in its operations.
Principle Accountabilities
- Producing relevant, accurate, meaningful, timely BI reports, dashboards, and analysis based on business need, including managing the work-flow and prioritization of the team.
- Work closely with branch business stakeholders, business function leaders and end users to identify and understand the business needs.
- Support branch business unit to come up with appropriate budgets during the budgeting cycle. Ensure proper cascade and reports for tracking are produced and shared.
- Prepare and moderating performance scorecards for all branch business staff roles in the bank and ensure stipulated SLAs in their release and circulation is strictly adhered to.
- Model branch staffing needs and advise Management and Human resources of deficiencies or surplus.
- Preparation of Management reports for the branch business unit and holding stakeholder meeting for cascade and adoption.
- Perform regular data analysis to uncover revenue opportunities and identify income leakages on various channels in the bank.
- Developing and implementing a program of continuous improvement of BI processes through a cycle of analysis of existing systems, processes, and tools, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing high-impact changes, and getting feedback from internal and external clients.
- Spearhead and introduce relevant BI and Information Management processes, technologies and tools and ensure BI tool best practices.
- Understand Key Performance Measures and Indicators that drive company performance measurement, reporting, and analytics across functions and understand how these metrics and measures align and track against overall business strategies, goals and objectives.
- Spearhead projects run by the bank and support the branch business unit in meeting the same.
- Carry out automation of key reports and dashboards to enhance efficiency and create value.
- Assist in deriving insights from data to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
- Synthesis availed reports and inform business insights
- Conduct portfolio optimization reviews (informed by insights drawn from analysis of the customer activity) with the departmental heads and track the actions that ensue.
- Avail data led cross-sell leads for the tele sales team from all business segments
- Coordinate and assist the Tele-sales team in achieving their sales.
- Ensure the Tele-sales team productivity is adhered to by making successful calls that translate to lead converting.
- Prepare the Tele-sale dashboard and productivity reports.
- Compile review packs for segments, regions, branches and departments to assist in monitoring performance.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests in set SLA from stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Statistics, IT, Data Science, Actuarial Science or any other related field
- Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
- A minimum 3 years of business experience in Advanced Analytics is required.
- Good understanding on Relational Database Management Systems.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in office suite with advanced Excel and Presentation skills using PowerPoint
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL queries, or OLAP cubes is preferred.
- Knowledge and proficiency in software development using scripting using Python, Javascript, Java and other application programming languages is an added advantage
