The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Consulting Associate, to join our risk advisory team, supporting the delivery of risk consulting services to clients across Kenya and East Africa. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Consulting Senior.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting risk assessments, internal audits, investigative & forensic audits, business processes reviews, data analytics, and compliance reviews;
- Carry out fieldwork as planned within specified timelines to assess control design adequacy, effectiveness and any deficiencies;
- Ensure proper evidence documentation and recommend actions for improvement and process enhancements;
- Support in preparing client deliverables such as reports, presentations, and audit observations;
- Perform follow-up audit to ensure agreed controls have been implemented satisfactorily;
- Conduct research on industry-specific risks, regulatory requirements, and best practices;
- Analyze data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of concern
- Assist in developing risk and control matrices and audit programs;
- Work collaboratively with team members across multiple engagements;
- Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality work within deadlines;
- Seek feedback and actively participate in training and development initiatives; and
- Carrying out any other tasks as delegated by the firm from time-to-time.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certifications preferred – ACCA or CPA(K) – ongoing or completed. CIA, CISA are added advantages.
- Candidates with up to 2 years of experience are encouraged to apply.
- Work experience in audit is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kenyan regulatory frameworks is desirable.
- Experience working in a multicultural environment.
