The successful candidate will be responsible for offering comprehensive legal support and advisory services to our SACCO clients, ensuring their operations align with all relevant laws and regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and guidance to SACCOs on corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
- Represent SACCOs in legal proceedings and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in legislation affecting the co-operative sector.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
- Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a current practicing certificate.
- Proven experience in a legal role, preferably within the financial services or co-operative sector.
