Position Overview

The Sales Assistant supports the retail or sales team by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining store presentation. This role is vital in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience and that sales targets are met.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs.

Provide detailed information about product features, benefits, and promotions.

Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process transactions accurately.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.

Maintain store cleanliness, product displays, and stock organization.

Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and replenishment.

Support promotional activities and contribute to achieving sales targets.

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma in Sales or equivalent; further education in Business, Marketing, or Retail is an advantage.

Basic knowledge of sales techniques and customer service practices.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with POS systems.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills

Previous experience in retail or customer service.

Ability to upsell and cross-sell products.

Problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
