Overview

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and results-oriented Sales Coordinator to join our publishing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating sales activities, supporting the sales team, maintaining strong relationships with clients, and driving business growth across schools, bookstores, institutions, distributors, and other key markets.

Job description

  • Coordinate and support the daily operations of the Sales Department.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Sales Representatives to ensure sales targets are achieved.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, bookstores, distributors, institutions, and other customers.
  • Monitor sales performance and prepare periodic sales reports.
  • Coordinate product launches, promotional campaigns, exhibitions, and book fairs.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely order processing and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer needs.
  • Track inventory levels and communicate stock requirements with the relevant departments.
  • Handle customer inquiries, quotations, and follow up on sales leads.
  • Ensure accurate sales documentation and maintain up-to-date customer records.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience in sales, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or coordination role.
  • Previous experience in the publishing, education, or FMCG sector will be an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to lead a sales team and achieve set targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
