Background

Our client in the steel manufacturing industry is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Executive – Education to manage and aggressively grow their sales channel targeting schools and educational institutions.

This role is critical for driving revenue growth, maintaining strong client relationships within the education sector, and ensuring the seamless delivery of products/services from order to payment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sales Growth & Relationship Management: Drive aggressive sales growth within the education channel by identifying and onboarding new institutions while maintaining robust relationships with existing clients (Principals, Bursars, Procurement Teams).
  • End-to-End Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales process, including presenting and promoting products, responding to all requests for quotations (RFQs), processing orders accurately, and closing sales to meet and exceed agreed-upon targets.
  • Account and Credit Management: Proactively follow up on customer payments, manage statements of accounts, and collaborate internally (Finance/Dispatch) to ensure timely LPO fulfillment, good client credit standing, and smooth order delivery.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting: Provide management with detailed daily call reports, weekly work plans, and comprehensive sales analyses, offering insights into market needs, competitive activities, and potential new products for the education sector.
  • Customer Experience: Act as the direct point of contact for schools, professionally handling queries, complaints, and after-sales follow-up.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of progressive sales experience in both Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Slow-Moving Consumer Goods (SMCG) environments.
  • Must have specific experience selling to educational centers/institutions.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing (Customer Service training is a plus).
  • High level of customer orientation, strong negotiation skills, and ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
