Sales Manager

Location: Tanzania

Salary: Ksh.100,000 + Commission (Performance Based)

Job Purpose:

Talent Grid Africa,Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of their client in the beauty, skincare, and wellness industry, is looking for a results-driven Sales Manager – Tanzania.

The Sales Manager will drive profitable growth across Tanzania and Uganda by building strong distributor partnerships, scaling distribution, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering consistent retail execution aligned to the company’s East Africa strategy.

The role reports to the Head of East Africa and requires frequent travel to Uganda.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own revenue, distribution, and margin performance across TZ & UG.
  • Lead distributor management and stakeholder relationships.
  • Drive numeric and weighted distribution expansion across pharmacy, beauty, and modern trade in TZ & UG.
  • Ensure strong retail execution, visibility, and sell-through in priority accounts.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, product registration, and labeling per market.
  • Partner with Supply Chain & Finance on forecasting, stock planning, and fulfillment.
  • Deliver market intelligence and performance reporting to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Strong commercial and financial acumen in distributor-led export markets.
  • Proven distributor and stakeholder management capability.
  • Excellent execution and operational discipline across multiple countries.
  • Data-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented.
  • High ownership mindset; able to lead without authority.
  • Strong communicator and cross-functional collaborator.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and cross-border trade dynamic.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda.
  • Experience in banking, debt collection, and/or call center environments.
