Job Summary
Njoro Canning Factory (K) Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven HORECA Sales Representative to drive sales growth and expand the company's presence within the Hotel, Restaurant, Café/Catering (HORECA) sector in Nairobi and its environs. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting the company's food products to institutional and hospitality clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with hotels, restaurants, cafes, caterers, bakeries, and institutional customers.
- Identify and acquire new HORECA customers within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell the company's product portfolio to existing and prospective customers.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and follow up on customer orders.
- Ensure timely order processing, delivery coordination, and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor customer stock levels and recommend replenishment plans.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and tasting sessions where required.
- Gather market intelligence on customer trends, competitor activities, pricing, and new opportunities.
- Follow up on customer payments and support debt collection efforts.
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Participate in trade exhibitions, food shows, and promotional activities.
- Ensure visibility and proper utilization of company products within customer establishments.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales pipeline information.
- Represent the company professionally and uphold brand standards at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–3 years experience in HORECA sales, FMCG sales, food service sales, or hospitality account management.
- Experience selling food products, ingredients, or FMCG products to hotels, restaurants, and institutions will be a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Valid driving license is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Excellent customer relationship management skills.
- Good understanding of the HORECA and food service industry.
- Strong business development and territory management abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
