School Administrative Assistant

Located along Ngong Road, ACK Good Samaritan School, Karen is a pioneering faith-based initiative of the Anglican Church of Kenya (All Saints’ Cathedral Diocese), relaunched to provide quality Competency-Based Education (CBE) for Pre-Primary and Lower Primary learners.

ACK Good Samaritan School Karen is seeking a dedicated, reliable, service-oriented, and results-driven individual to fill the role of School Administrative Assistant ahead of its official relaunch on January 6, 2026.

The Role:
The School Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for all parents, visitors, and students. This role involves managing the front office, handling all telephone and email inquiries promptly, supporting administrative needs, and generally ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serving as the primary contact person, professionally welcoming and directing all visitors (parents, visitors, guests).
  2. Managing the school’s switchboard, handling incoming and outgoing calls, and responding appropriately.
  3. Handling all general and administrative email and walk-in inquiries efficiently and courteously.
  4. Maintaining an organized and tidy reception area and assisting with storage, filing, administration, and clerical duties.
  5. Assisting the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher with scheduling meetings, communication, and document dissemination.
  6. Managing school correspondence (letters, packages, etc.) and supporting proper filing and recordkeeping.
  7. Maintaining attendance charts and staff records in line with school and Ministry of Education requirements.
  8. Supporting procurement and logistics for school supplies, events, and day-to-day operations.
  9. Upholding the Christian values and professional standards of the Good Samaritan School.

Key Requirements:

  1. Minimum qualification in Business Administration or Equivalent. Diploma in Secretarial Studies will be an advantage.
  2. At least three (3) years of relevant front office, or administrative, preferably in a school or professional environment.
  3. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English and Kiswahili.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Email Management).
  5. Professional appearance, strong interpersonal skills, and warm demeanor suitable for interacting with parents and children.
  6. Ability to handle confidential information and demonstrate discretion at all times.
  7. A Certificate of Good Conduct.
  8. Be a practicing Christian.
