Scouts

Job Summary

Scouts will monitor crops for pests, diseases, and other plant-health concerns and provide timely information to the production and crop-protection teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular crop inspections and scouting.
• Identify signs of pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies, and other crop problems.
• Record pest and disease observations accurately.
• Monitor crop health and report findings to supervisors.
• Support implementation of integrated pest management programmes.
• Collect samples where required for further assessment.
• Follow farm safety and crop-protection procedures.
• Maintain accurate scouting records and reports.

Ideal Candidate

• Training or experience in horticulture, agriculture, plant science, or a related field.
• Good knowledge of common horticultural pests and diseases.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Attention to detail and willingness to work in the field

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
