Responsibilities or duties

Manage the Internal Audit plan and develop audit programs for efficiency.

Carry out risk assessments to prioritize areas.

Conduct compliance audits of audit work papers for legal/statutory requirements.

Document audits, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements.

Follow up on findings and agreed recommendations.

Assist in implementing Management action plans.

Conduct investigations and special projects as applicable.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Experience needed

Minimum 5 years' working experience in a similar role.

Bachelor's degree and CPA(K) or equivalent; registered member of a recognized institution.

Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is advantageous.

Knowledge of IFRS, IPPF, Audit Reporting, Management Accounting, Value for Money Assessment, Corporate Governance, ERP, Risk-based Audit, etc.
