Job Purpose Statement
The Senior Product Manager charts the future direction of the Digital products suite as well as support execution against that long-term strategy to increase our impact. This includes building core product experiences for our customers, as well as product experiences that are critical to our business.
The Senior Product Manager is highly analytical and uses first principles thinking in understanding a new domain. They will not only work alongside developers handling unique challenges for each customer in our pipeline, but also play a critical role in the continuous discovery feedback loop providing insights of opportunities for product and service enhancements. They are passionate about working backwards from direct customer engagement and combine financial industry research and knowledge with our technical expertise to develop leading product strategies.

Key Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities)
Product Strategy (30%)
- Understand our product vision, continually iterating and refining it based on user insights.
- Develop and maintain a prioritized product roadmap with well-defined product requirements and business justifications.
- Prioritize and drive backlogs, balancing strong foundations for future development, solving meaningful user needs, and delivering solutions quickly.
- Work closely with senior leaders to set ambitious and clear product visions for growing and scaling our business and product offerings. Stay attuned to the competitive and industry landscape to identify customer needs and trends.
- Design a product strategy relevant to core, adjacent, and disruptive innovations.
- Oversee multiple product management processes, establish priorities, and coordinate with teams to create schedules throughout the product life cycle.
- Facilitate decisions and consensus in a diverse cross-functional environment.
- Maintain knowledge of the technical and operational elements of your product to inform decision-making.
- Develop clear product requirements and communicate them with engineering teams and designers.
Customer (30%)
- Identify potential opportunity areas, determine the impact for our customers, and implement the most effective course of action.
- Develop commercial models that impact top-line revenue and bottom-line operating costs while delivering best-in-class product experiences across channels.
- Understand ecosystem markets, competition, and user requirements in-depth.
- Partner with Go-to-Market and Services teams to maximize the product’s impact on customers and our business.
People (25%)
- Motivate the squad to leverage individual strengths to overcome challenges.
- Model team norms and contribute to positive team dynamics, leading to continuous team performance improvement.
- Foster an environment of trust, effectively communicating within squads and with stakeholders.
- Define and implement recruitment, learning, and performance management strategies, as well as cultural practices that attract, nurture, and retain the best talent within the product vertical.
Job Specifications
Academic and Professional Certifications:
- At least an undergraduate degree Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related quantitative subject area; or equivalent experience. MBA or a Master’s degree in a business field is desirable.
Professional
- Product and Ecosystem Design, Project Management, Marketing and Service oriented certifications desirable.
Desired Experience
- At least 10 years’ work experience, 5 of which should have been in a senior management capacity in a similar sized organization having led successful business and product development projects and/or initiatives.
- Familiarity with the latest technologies and trends in the industry and the ability to work closely with engineers to ensure the feasibility and technical soundness of product ideas
- Experience working at both early-stage startups as well as larger companies, to demonstrate adaptability to different environments and the ability to thrive in both
- Knowledge of multiple functional areas, including product management, engineering, UX/UI, sales, customer support, finance or marketing. Understanding of go-to-market commerce enablers (e.g., payments, loyalty, subscriptions, etc.).
- Have strong technical competence, with experience and track record of success in building high-velocity, low-latency, high-availability services with beautiful API design
- Ability to achieve strategic goals and evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends in an innovative and fast-paced environment. Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
