Description

Site Survey Management:

Establishes and maintains primary and secondary survey control networks.

Manages site levels and determines quantities of earthworks or road construction materials.

Supervises survey assistants and technicians, reviewing their work for accuracy.

Technical and Administrative Tasks:

Prepares detailed technical and financial reports for the contractor and client.

Ability to use surveying equipment such as RTK, total station and dumpy level machine

Oversees the standardization and certification of survey equipment.

Compute Earthworks and other related construction works quantities and generate clear and legible cross sections.

Processes land acquisition requests and prepares plans for registration with the National Land Commission.

Project Coordination:

Acts as the contractor's representative and point of contact for survey matters.

Plans and executes title surveys for road corridors or other land parcels.

Works with project managers and procurement teams to ensure material and subcontractor needs are met.

Compliance and Legal Aspects:

Ensures all surveying activities comply with Kenyan construction and land regulations.

Organizes the opening of road reserves, addressing illegal structures and utilities.

Prepares legal survey plans for deeds and land registration.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geospatial Engineering or equivalent field froma recognized university.

Must be registered with ISK (Institute of Surveyors of Kenya) and possess a valid current practicing licence

Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and other surveying software.

Significant experience (5+ years) in large-scale road construction projects is required.
