JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
The Social Studies Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and learner-centered instruction that develops learners' understanding of history, geography, citizenship, culture, and social responsibility in accordance with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Social Studies lessons.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and learner assessment tools.
- Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Promote critical thinking, civic responsibility, and problem-solving skills.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods and educational technology.
- Maintain accurate learner records and academic reports.
- Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
- Perform other duties assigned by the School Administration.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Education with specialization in Social Studies or related subject.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) training.
- Minimum of three (3) years' teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to inspire learners and promote active participation.

Level of Education: bachelor degree
