Responsibilities or duties
- Teach the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance.
- Supervise students in software project management, agile methodologies, and collaborative software development using DevOps practices.
- Conduct research on software engineering best practices, software quality assurance, and software metrics.
- Train students in the use of programming languages, frameworks, and development tools.
- Develop teaching materials on object-oriented analysis and design, system modeling, and architectural patterns.
- Guide students in the evaluation of software prototypes, user acceptance testing, and deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with industry on capstone projects and real-world software engineering challenges.
- Setting, moderating, invigilating and marking examinations.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
PARTTIME LECTURER
i. Applicants should hold a PhD or a master's degree qualification in a relevant field from a recognized academic institution; and possess vast teaching or industry experience at undergraduate/postgraduate levels.
ii. Applicants must have served as a Lecturer or equivalent industry experience in a university or institution recognized by the Senate of JOOUST.
iii. Demonstrate potential for university teaching and/or research;
iv. At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
v. Master's holders registered for PhD may be considered
vi. Be registered with the relevant professional body as required by the field of specialization.
Experience needed
At least two (2) years teaching experience in a university.
