Sports Officer - 2 Posts

Responsibilities or duties

Developing and promoting sports activities;

Identifying sports talents;

Mobilizing and sensitizing local community to participate in sports;

Organizing matches;

Liaising with volunteers to support sports programmes; and

Collecting data and preparing reports on sports functions and competitions.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:

Be a Citizen of Kenya;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline: Physical Education, Sports Science, Leisure and Recreation Management or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Sports Administration and Management lasting not less than two (2) years from a recognized institution; and

Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.

2 years
