About the Role
The Stores Manager will oversee all aircraft stores and inventory operations to ensure regulatory compliance, integrity, traceability, and availability of aircraft parts, materials, and tooling. The role is key in supporting uninterrupted maintenance operations, ensuring adherence to the Maintenance Organization Exposition (MOE), Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM), Stores Procedures Manual, and KCAA regulations (KCARs).
The successful candidate will manage stores activities, lead the stores team, and ensure timely dispatch of spares to support operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all stores operations in line with MOE, MPM, and KCARs.
- Oversee receipt, inspection, certification, and storage of parts and materials.
- Maintain stock integrity, including shelf-life and life-limited items.
- Conduct audits, manage inventory, and supervise all store categories.
- Ensure accurate issuance and timely dispatch of spares.
- Lead and develop the stores team, promoting compliance and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation Management, or related field.
- Training or certification in Aircraft Stores Management (KCAA/EASA/ICAO aligned).
- 3-5 years’ experience in airline or AMO stores/logistics operations.
- Sound knowledge of KCAA Regulations (KCARs) and aircraft parts traceability requirements.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of aircraft parts handling, certification, traceability, and inventory control.
- Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
- ICT and inventory management system proficiency.
- Understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (KCAA, ICAO; EASA knowledge an advantage).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
