Role Overview

The Team Leader Collections – Tenant Purchase Administration plays a critical role in protecting the financial health of the Tenant Purchase Scheme (TPS) portfolio. Operating at the intersection of credit risk management, tenant engagement, and regulatory compliance, this role ensures effective delinquency management and restoration of non-performing accounts.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The Team Leader Collections will:

  • Lead and supervise a team of collection officers managing the TPS portfolio.
  • Proactively manage delinquent accounts to restore performing status.
  • Monitor and control Portfolio at Risk (PAR) levels.
  • Implement structured collection strategies aligned to affordable housing regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks including Kenya’s Affordable Housing Act, 2024.
  • Oversee tenant engagement strategies that balance recovery objectives with customer experience.
  • Develop and monitor collection performance indicators.
  • Recommend credit risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting on portfolio performance and risk exposure.
  • Drive continuous improvement in collection processes and performance.
