About the Role
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) is a state corporation established under the Kenya Roads Act, 2011. Its mandate is to develop and implement policies relating to national roads and road transport. NTSA is committed to reducing road traffic accidents and improving road safety in Kenya. We are seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Technical Supervisor.
Responsibilities
The Technical Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the technical operations of the assigned department, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and managing a team of technical staff. Key duties include:
- Supervising and coordinating the work of technical personnel.
- Ensuring that all technical operations are carried out in accordance with established procedures and safety regulations.
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Maintaining accurate records of technical activities and reports.
- Providing training and guidance to junior technical staff.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a supervisory or technical role.
- Proven experience in managing technical teams and projects.
- Strong knowledge of relevant technical standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
