Job Summary

The Transport & Logistics Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the group's fleet. This role is responsible for maximizing resource utilization, fleet maintenance, aggressive cost management, and leading a high-performing logistics team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fleet Operations: Oversee lifecycle maintenance, mechanical availability, and deployment of all company vehicles.
  • Cost Optimization: Develop and implement fuel efficiency programs and smart routing to minimize delivery costs.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce driver compliance with local transport laws, speed limits, and corporate safety policies.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, train, and evaluate a team of supervisors, drivers, and fleet mechanics to meet delivery targets.
  • Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with external fuel suppliers, spare part dealers, and insurance providers.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Transport Management.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of senior management experience overseeing fleet operations in a busy logistics, FMCG, or busy transport environment.
  • Competencies: Strong financial acumen for budgeting, strict problem-solving skills, and executive leadership traits.
