Role Context
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Tutorial Fellow in Medical Surgical Nursing to join our dynamic Faculty of Health Sciences. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality nursing education and contributing to the academic and research endeavors of the university.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures and conduct tutorials in Medical Surgical Nursing subjects.
- Supervise students during practical sessions and clinical placements.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools.
- Participate in curriculum development and review processes.
- Mentor and guide students, providing academic and career advice.
- Engage in scholarly activities, including research and publication.
- Contribute to the departmental and university community through committee work and other activities.
Qualification and experience
- Hold a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Surgical Nursing from an accredited University.
- At least three (3) years of post-qualification work experience.
- Demonstrate potential for university teaching, research and community extension.
- Have a commitment to high-quality teaching and fostering a positive learning environment for students.
- Valid Nursing Council of Kenya Licence.
Experience Needed
Minimum of two (3) years of relevant clinical experience.
