About UN‑Habitat

UN‑Habitat is mandated by the UN General Assembly to promote socially and environmentally sustainable and resilient towns and cities. It is the focal point agency for urbanization and human settlement matters within the UN system. UN‑Habitat envisions well‑planned, well‑governed, and efficient cities and towns, with adequate housing, infrastructure, and universal access to employment and basic services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare materials (presentations, maps, drawings) for workshops with city and county officials in Mozambique.
  • Draft, revise, and complete planning materials (spatial analysis, drawings, reports).
  • Participate in technical missions if required.
  • Collaborate closely with the Urban Lab team and Mozambique Country Office.
  • Report to the Programme Management Officer of Urban Lab.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Architecture, Urban Planning and Design, or related field relevant to sustainable urban development.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in preparing plan graphical material using CAD tools and GIS software.
  • Strong background in data management and spatial analysis.
  • Fluency in English required; fluency in Portuguese desirable.
