A credible electoral management body committed to strengthening democracy in Kenya.
Voter Registration Assistant (VRA) is primarily responsible for supervising Voter Registration Clerks, ensuring the security of biometric equipment (BVR kits/KIEMS tablets), and ensuring that registration targets are met within the assigned ward.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervising Voter registration clerks at the ward
- Assisting in planning the KIEMs kit movement schedule
- Collating and submitting voter registration data
- Ensuring the security of materials and equipment
- Reporting Voter registration progress
- Publicizing registration activities and ensuring the ward meets registration targets.
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Must be a Kenyan citizen and a registered voter.
- At least 21 years old, and residents of the constituency/ward they are applying for.
- A minimum of a Diploma in ICT or a related field is required.
- Availability for the entire registration period.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated integrity, impartiality, and respect for diversity.
- Willingness to work long hours and under field conditions.
Important Note
Applicants must not have held office or stood for election as a candidate or party agent in the last five (5) years.
Successful candidates will be required to present;
- Copy National Identification Card
- Copies of academic certificates
- Copy(ies) of any other relevant testimonials
Successful applicants will be required to undergo training and take an oath of secrecy.
