Travellers Beach Resort is seeking enthusiastic, customer-focused, and professional Waitresses to join its Food & Beverage team in Mombasa.

Responsibilities or duties

Guest Service and Hospitality

  • Welcome and attend to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain available dishes, and provide recommendations when required.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders.
  • Serve meals and beverages according to established service standards.
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure guests have a positive dining experience.

Food and Beverage Service

  • Set up tables, dining areas, and service stations before operations.
  • Ensure correct presentation and delivery of food and beverages.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout service.
  • Process orders accurately and coordinate with kitchen and bar teams.
  • Follow proper food handling and hygiene procedures.

Cleanliness and Standards

  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Assist with restaurant preparation, closing procedures, and stock organization.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow hospitality service standards.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with chefs, supervisors, and other hospitality staff.
  • Support smooth restaurant operations during busy periods.
  • Communicate guest feedback and operational issues to supervisors.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Essential Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Service, or related field is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of customer service practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
