Warehouse & Sourcing Officer
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of fresh produce
- Ensure proper handling, grading, and storage to maintain quality and reduce spoilage
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Coordinate loading and dispatch in line with delivery schedules
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, order, and safety standards
Sourcing & Procurement
- Source fresh produce from approved farmers and suppliers based on demand forecasts
- Coordinate procurement quantities, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Conduct quality checks at sourcing and receiving points
- Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and suppliers
- Monitor market trends and availability of produce
- Ensure traceability and documentation for all sourced produce
Coordination & Reporting
- Liaise closely with sales, logistics, and finance teams
- Prepare sourcing, stock, and wastage reports
- Monitor losses, shrinkage, and recommend corrective actions
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, Logistics, or a related field
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in warehouse management or produce sourcing
- Experience handling fresh produce is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and quality control standards
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory systems
