About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily labour deployment and warehouse operations on behalf of Client’s, ensuring efficient, safe and compliant execution of vessel unloading, loading, blending-support and housekeeping activities.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse operations receiving, stacking, blending support, loading and dispatch ensuring roster fill rate, throughput targets and customer service levels are met.
Allocate and coordinate manpower across handlers, riggers, tally clerks, forklift operators, technicians and support staff for each shift, adjusting deployment for volume and vessel schedules.
Plan, direct and manage daily warehouse and logistics operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, order fulfilment and dispatch of fertilizer products.
Monitor stacking standards, FIFO/stock-rotation practices, and 5S housekeeping; coordinate inventory receipt counting and accuracy checks with Clients’ Dispatch Officers.
Optimize workflows and space utilization within the warehouse and yard to reduce turnaround times for vessel unloading and truck loading.
Enforce site safety rules, PPE compliance, and the mobile-device policy on the warehouse floor; escalate incidents and hazards immediately to the HESQ Officer.
Maintain attendance registers, shift reports, and productivity/performance records; submit daily shift reports to Clients’ Dispatch Officers on schedule.
Monitor and report on team productivity, throughput and quality against Clients’ KPI targets, flagging shortfalls for corrective action.
Coordinate seasonal ramp-up of shift crews, including sourcing and onboarding of additional manpower, and mobilize crews within required notice windows during high season.
Provide clear direction, on-the-job coaching, and basic performance feedback to warehouse staff to maintain a motivated, productive and disciplined workforce.
Act as first point of escalation for operational issues on the floor before referral to the Contractor Operations Manager, and support resolution of worker grievances per the documented grievance procedure.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 3 years experience in warehouse logistics, inventory management, or port operations, including at least 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong leadership, team-management, and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate large teams (50+ workers) on short notice.
Working knowledge of warehouse/inventory systems; experience with WMS/ERP tools is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Mandatory Certifications
Occupational Health & Safety awareness training (or willingness to complete Clients’ HESQ induction).
Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
