Job Description

Location: Nairobi

Salary: Ksh. 40,000

Job Purpose

Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of a client in the furniture retail industry, seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Web Administrator to maintain website content and design, ensuring the company website is functional, accurate, up to date, and optimized for the best user experience. The role sits within the Marketing Department and works closely with merchandising, purchasing, and sales teams to support online sales and product visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Upload new items on the website.
  • Implement price changes for products as required.
  • Draft and publish descriptions for new products.
  • Maintain reports on website updates and changes.
  • Work with merchandising and purchasing teams to ensure product availability online.
  • Improve the online shopping experience including navigation, product recommendations, and checkout efficiency.
  • Ensure the website is user-friendly, responsive, and optimized.
  • Track and monitor website stock levels.
  • Track photo shoot schedules to ensure all products are uploaded with the correct images.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in an ICT - related course from a recognized institution.
  • At least two 2 years experience in a similar position.
  • Interior design experience is an added advantage.
  • Good understanding of website design and administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of markup and programming languages including HTML, XML, Java, and CSS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and related software.
  • Positive and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to contribute fresh and innovative ideas.
  • Strong creative and artistic skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
