Role Duties and Responsibilities:
Project implementation
• Be the project focal point for all activities being implemented in West Pokot and support implementation/coordination in Turkana County;
• Support the engagement with project participants periodically to ensure that activities meet participants’ needs, project objectivities and the key activities are taking place as planned;
• Engage with key government and non-governmental interlocutors, including CSOs, companies and peacebuilding agencies, through project activities;
• Accompany partner organisations in the planning and implementation of activities against the workplan and the project strategy in collaboration with the SPO and ensure that partners adhere to the terms and conditions of their contracts on the project.
Budget Management
• Support the finance and administration team relating to project implementation, including preparation of cash requests and returns;
• Maintain the project filing system and ensure the effective recording, documentation, and filing of project activities, M&E data, internal and external project meetings;

Duties & Responsibilities
• Compute competitive quotations in line with our underwriting values and discuss them with clients.
• Collect background information and assess risk
• Liaise with Insurance Companies and clients
• Following up policy document and renewal confirmations from Insurance Companies
• Review policy document and dispatch
• Follow up payments of the policies from the clients
• Ensure proper records of premiums received
• Prepare regular management reports on production and other relevant reports
• Prepare risk notes, debits notes and credits notes
• Prepare covers (New business and Renewals)
• Prepare and issue renewal notice
• Client relationship management including visitations and training
• Ensure balance business mix both product and insurance companies.
• Generate business through marketing activities and increasing visibility of the Company.
• Assist to organize/manage awareness events
• Giving weekly report on underwriting issues
• Preparation and registering of daily production

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree (insurance option) or Diploma (AIIK)
• Knowledge of insurance and re-insurance
• Proficiency in MS Office suite of packages
• Report writing, negotiation, Presentation, Analytical, Strategic thinking, Judgement and decision making skills
• Good oral communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work beyond normal working hours when the job so demands
• At least 3 years’ experience in banking, insurance or finance related environment/background.
