Job Purpose
The role’s purpose is to develop, expand and maintain quality portfolio of SME clients for the branch through customer acquisition and retention in line with the Bank’s Strategy

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Financial Management

• Manage a portfolio of SME customers, focusing on increasing product penetration, profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Develop new relationships with SME clients with an aim of increasing the number of SME accounts, attaining good quality asset and liabilities book for the branch in line with the set budgets
• Grow branch fees and commissions through targeted product and service offering to the SME portfolio.
• Thoroughly review credit applications to reduce the possibility of NPA and proactively manage recovery of NPA in the event of default.
• Participate in marketing activities within the business area in order to maximize an appropriate growth in business.
• Continuously mine data base shared by the line manager of target markets in the area guided by the market demographics/sectors

Customer Service
• Ensure 100% TAT in terms of service delivery.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of customer requests and loan applications as per laid down SLAs and documented procedures.
• Create a data base of all key clients within assigned portfolio to ensure continuous care calls/visits to build and enhance relationship
• Relationship management on the assigned portfolio.
• Quick resolution and/ or escalation of customer complaints

The role will be directly reporting to the Head of Sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and building a robust pipeline, closing global strategic accounts and airlines whilst maintaining and growing transaction volumes and revenues through relationship-building and upselling.

Your daily adventures include:

• Building the airlines pipeline (international, regional and domestic), acquisition and activation of accounts
• New Africa strategic/key accounts development & strategic account planning manifested through a healthy pipeline
• Managing of Africa strategic accounts to achieve sales, operating income, and other metrics, driving revenue out of global strategic accounts producing significant incremental revenues
• Strategic account engagement and C-suite relationships: Engaging strategic accounts at Sr. Executive levels developing deep, long-term, trusted-partner relationships
• Partnering closely with the relevant divisions to customize product demonstrations based on client

Requirements
• Leveraging on payment partners such as Banks to acquire leads that result in closed accounts
• Establishing and maintaining customer satisfaction in strategic accounts working collaboratively with the relevant divisions
• Participating in government RFPs

What It Takes To Succeed

• 5 + years of solution sales experience
• 5 years in the high tech and/or software space, with a history of driving, managing and closing strategic deals
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management
• Experience leading strategic accounts initiatives / organizations across Africa
• Knowledge, experience, and success of growing businesses in high growth, "new" marketplaces
• Knowledge of the airlines industry
• Possesses excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Proven ability to hit or exceed sales quota
• Strong B2B business development skills
• Ability to articulate value proposition to C-Level, Sales and Marketing executives

Tasks will consist of, but are not limited to the following:
• Prepare the tender within the set deadlines and responsibilities
• Communicate with the account manager and internal Tender process team for each bids where necessary.
• Reviewing tender document requirements.
• Prepare bid bonds if required
• Prepare the Worksheets for supplier pricing
• Strive to continuously improve the tender process
• Thorough understanding of the bidding process and documentation.
• Thorough understanding of IFMIS operations.
• Sourcing and liaising with manufacturers for correct responses and solutions.
• Proposed solutions product knowledge.
• Preparation of Quality Tenders, proposals, quotations for any prospect client.
• Contributing to the written proposal in terms of content and presentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s Degree OR Diploma in either Sales, Marketing or IT related field.
• At least 2 years of proven experience as a Sales and Tender Executive in a reputable ICT firm
• Proficiency in English.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Hands-on experience with CRM software will be an added advantage.
• Thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques.
• Fast learner and passion for sales.
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
