The Commercial Systems unit is conceived as six engineering teams working closely with other Canonical engineering and business teams. One of the teams is responsible for the Salesforce instance, which is crucial to our sales and business operations. This team configures Salesforce and implements business processes that facilitate efficient operations. This requires deep experience with the Salesforce platform, understanding assignments from engineering and business perspectives, building solid relationships with many internal stakeholders, and striving for improvements. We expect you to have
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• Senior-level experience as a software developer on Salesforce.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with other systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate remotely with diverse team members and stakeholders and remain highly motivated, productive, and organized in a fully remote environment.
• Ability to travel to international destinations for one week at a time, approximately 2-4 times per year. Locations prior to the global pandemic included New York, Seattle, London, Cape Town, Budapest, Berlin, Montreal, and Brussels.

Nice to have
• Experience as a software developer in a high-level language - preferably Go or Python.
• Experience in a business role such as sales, finance, or operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing a vision to drive marketing strategy, demand generation, content strategy, event marketing, product marketing, sales enablement, marketing operations, corporate communications, digital marketing, and partner and customer liaison.

Requirements
Your daily adventures include:
• Play an active role in developing the organization’s brand strategy in collaboration with the Regional Head of Acquiring- Africa and the Marketing Director
• Ensure clear articulation of the brand’s desired image and positioning to its external target audiences in relevant channels
• Ensure consistent communication of image and positioning across the company and in all relevant geographical markets
• Provide efficient and effective marketing services support to other teams in the company

• Drive PR, AR, and an engaging social presence to gain mindshare and tell the company story through media coverage, physical and digital events, webinars, industry media, online communities, and social networks

What It Takes To Succeed
• 5+ years’ experience in building, managing, and leading a marketing function with a strong ability to translate and distil technical concepts into propositions suitable for the organizations target market personas
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field
• Experience with branding, brand voice and evolution
• Experience with digital marketing strategies
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is a given
• Experience with building and leading multi-faceted teams, with an emphasis on marketing strategy, demand generation, and product marketing
• Proven success leading the brand messaging & positioning of a technology products and services organization
• Demonstrated track record delivering results against sales and marketing plans

Job Purpose:
To acquire and nurture customers that are of strategic importance to the growth of the business.

To assure total business development for all the business areas within the country including maintaining healthy P&L position in line with the Group’s strategic objectives.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for the Corporate Banking, Commercial Public Sector, Retail (including branches), Trade and Transaction Banking for the country.
• Develop sales strategies to acquire and maintain clients for Corporate Banking, Commercial Public Sector, Retail (including branches), Trade and Transaction Banking teams.
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key customers and prepare various vertical market strategies to enhance growth.
• Track and monitor existing and emerging opportunities and develop alliances to ease conversion, wallet share growth and service offerings to clients/ customers.
• Prepare and document all market plans and drive to convert the plans to value.
• Analyze and prepare forecasts and estimates for various selling procedures as well as measure and assess the profitability of the relationships.
• Work closely with other/ relevant key stakeholders to drive trade and other businesses.
• Provide support to Relationship Managers/ Officers in the expansion and deepening of relationships for the bank.
• Provide required training for in-country Relationship Managers/ Officers to generate adequate value.
• Develop and secure approval for the relevant business strategies and ensure effective implementation in line with approved budget
• Manage overall performance on revenue, profitability and growth of the business lines for the country.
• Ensure adequate resourcing at all levels of the different businesses and coach/ motivate employees to effectively execute the strategic decisions to meet corporate goals for the bank.
