Our client is seeking to hire a Furniture Designer who will be responsible for designing furniture products, collaborating with other teams to create functional, aesthetically pleasing and marketable pieces.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and create innovative furniture designs based on market trends and customer needs.
• Use CAD software to create detailed designs and models.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
• Research new materials and design techniques.
• Develop prototypes and test designs for functionality and durability.
• Translate client briefs and functional requirements into clear design concepts.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials for production.
• Work closely with suppliers to source suitable materials and finishes.
• Ensure designs comply with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
• Review and refine designs based on production feedback and cost constraints.
• Support product launches by contributing to catalogs, presentations, and marketing materials.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a furniture designer or in a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design principles.
• Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for design.
• Diploma or degree in furniture design, industrial design, or a related field.
• Experience designing both residential and commercial furniture products.
• Strong understanding of ergonomics and user-centred design.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
