SPEECH THERAPIST

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, and communication delays in children
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child’s needs
  • Deliver engaging, play-based, and evidence-based therapy sessions
  • Use age-appropriate activities and techniques to stimulate speech and language development
  • Monitor progress, document session notes, and adjust therapy plans as needed
  • Provide guidance and feedback to parents/caregivers on home-based support strategies
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Speech Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, or a related field
  • Relevant professional certification and/or registration (where applicable)
  • Proven experience working with children with speech and language delays
  • Strong knowledge of speech development milestones and intervention techniques
  • Ability to engage children in a warm, patient, and motivating manner
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a home-based setting
