Veterinary Officers - 2 Post

Ref No. CPSB/TTC/17/2025

• Number of Posts: Two (2) Posts
• Terms of Service: Permanent & Pensionable
• Basic Salary Scale: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertaking disease surveillance and control activities such as disease search, sample collection, vaccination.
• Participate in providing technical guidance in enforcement of veterinary policies, regulations (e.g. livestock movement regulations).
• Participating in the training of stakeholders in vector control programmes.
• Treating sick animals.
• Advising on good veterinary practices.
• Collecting data and preparing reports on animal health, products and markets.
• Providing advice on animal husbandry, breeding and welfare.
• Undertaking postmortem examination and other diagnostic tests.
• Providing technical guidance to lower cadre animal health extension officers.

Requirements for Appointment

• Be in possession of Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) Degree from a recognized institution.
• Be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board.
• Have a certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
